Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Field Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in commercial construction, specifically working with general contractors. This role requires a strong understanding of construction operations, project coordination, and field engineering processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the project team to plan, execute, and oversee daily field operations.
- Interpret and review project plans, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate implementation.
- Monitor and maintain quality control standards throughout the construction process.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure timely project execution.
- Conduct field surveys and layout work to ensure alignment with project designs.
- Assist in resolving technical challenges and provide recommendations for efficiency improvements.
- Track and document project progress, including schedules, daily reports, and field changes.
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with all OSHA and company safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, and consultants.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of field engineering experience with a general contractor on commercial construction projects.
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and processes.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with surveying equipment and techniques is a plus.
- OSHA certification is preferred.
